I got a sealed tin from Target for Christmas. Got 4 packs in and noticed all the cards had been base...checked the bottom of the packs, sure enough every pack had been slit open. Went back to Target after seeing this thread, got my money back in gift card form and checked the shelves for any other tins. Sure enough there was another tin, wrapped in clear plastic. Target employees opened it and sure enough the same thing.

Glad to see this thread helped someone else out too. Sucks that they didn't have a salable tin for you tho. Maybe you can hold onto that gift card and wait for series 2 tins to come out.

yeah its a sad happening...i was in a out-of-town walmart and i noticed almost ALL of the boxes were searched...i'll never personally buy from walmart or target or other stores...it pains me too cause i work at a target and get an employee discount...i only by from hobby stores, or a trusted buddy at the local flea market

If you can get to them close enough to the release date there's bound to be good tins with upper deck's seal.

Scams are one of the factors killing the hobby. I saw another thread on here somewhere about fake patches too. It sucks, I've been collecting since I was 10 and have yet to get sick of it yet i see a lot of other collectors that would rather get out now because it just isn't fun for them anymore.

As far as the scams go, I guess anytime there's money to be made, morals go out the window for some people. I guess that's just the world we live in these days, money makes the world go round.

As usual it's based on average of all the cards produced for the set. Although I would be very miffed in your spot, UD will likely tell you the same thing. But...it is the season of giving so give them the sticker number on there and maybe they can trace it and you'd get something. Always try..

Not really the case, there is always YGs going to be in there, just when theres clear plastic on it and not UD plastic it means it was tampered with, we've all seen a few cases this year and this is one of them
