eBay question - opinions needed

Hello SCF,

I need some opinions on the following:

I purchased a BIN on a case of cards for over $1700 recently. The seller had a 5 day handling time on the auction. Ok that's fine.

I contacted the seller after the purchase to let him/her know that I was going to be out of town around Xmas and would it be possible to maybe try to ship it with a quicker shipping method than ground. I offered to pay the difference naturally.

The seller responded that it would most like ship on a Friday which was the 5th day of handling and it also might ship on the following Monday which would be the 6th day of handling with no response to ship it any faster. I replied saying that I hope it shipped on the Friday as that was the 5th and final day of handling and if it happened to ship late (6th day) I would really appreciate it he/she could upgrade the shipping since it was beyond the handling that was stated in the auction. No response...

Yesterday was the 6th day and still no tracking number or email from the seller saying the item has shipped. I sent the seller a polite message saying that I haven't seen an update in the item being shipped yet.

At this point I have to be under the assumption that it has not yet shipped and we are into day 7 of the handling. 2 days late for my item that I spent a lot of money on with no update.

How much longer do you guys think should I wait it out and maybe contact eBay about this? What would/do you do in this situation.

If they do not give you a confirmation or info today I would contact eBay then, with that's pricey of package it should be insured also by seller! That's what I would do! 4 days is my limit and I would contact eBay! But I have also bought items and they forgot to give me confirmation and it showed up! Then the holidays also! I'm waiting on package that should of been here last week but Xmas slowed it down! But don't hurt for you to contact eBay about it and try to get answers!

Thanks for your response! It turns out that Monday the 26th was a national holiday which both the seller and I did not realize. The seller is still a day late but will wait just a little longer for a response.

Yeah! I just got my Vince Lombardi auto today so I'm a happycamper! But mail us delayed like a day or 2!
