Rate How Panini did on my redemption..............
I had a redemption for an Absolute Platinum Durant auto /10, took 5 months to get the on card auto, when it came in Fed-Ex trashed the envelope and card so I had to send it back to panini......long story short after 2 months of nothing and 5 calls in the past week they are replacing it with this:
2010 Panini Court Kings
Portraits Signatures
Kobe Bryant #3 card Number 24/49
2010 Panini Pack
Absolute Basketball (10-11)
How did they do?
Great
Good
Ok
Bad

Bad.
That Durant would sell a lot better than an over-saturated Kobe auto, and the pack could result it rubbish

The other 9 Durants have been redeemed already so they don't have any left to hand out. I did see one of the Durants /10 sell and it pulled $140, so I think it is a wash, I don't think they really hurt me on it since it is his jersy #, and I don't think I made out the best. I was really suprised to see that it was Kobe's jersey # card though, pretty happy about that.

idk man, i think the kobe is better because he has been a star for longer. Durant could fade out in time, get injured, or just get booted out by better players.

Just ain't right that a Kobe auto (JERSEY #'D nonetheless) is just layin around for "back-up"...I mean, that's an INSTANT loss at a chance for a patron to pull. **I would understand if it was still a new product, and Panini was trying to "pace" things out with inserting them; that's another monster!
ANYWAY, there are TWO HUGE FACTORS that come to mind Jon:
1. Durant is easily among Panini's top contracts (Kobe, Griffin)...he's gotta have some nice stuff tucked away. Although...maybe Panini's gonna use THAT to fulfill screw up's on National Trashers or other high end????
2. Panini REPLACED A ONE-OF-ONE BLAKE GRIFFIN RC AUTO not that long ago. I'm sure the thread and/or O.P. can surface quick...use that as ammo to show Panini. I mean, they can't get another short-printed Durant, but they can replace a one-of-one???
All that being said, I would also believe that the single pack will somehow yield an amazing card. Who knows, it might be a second Kobe auto.

I've seen a few posts where panini has sent out packs and a replacement card for a long overdue redemption or whatever and they got some nice stuff out of the packs. gl to ya, but I'm with biggs on this one. I think they have packs that they know have hits in them when they send those out.

The packs worth about $20...so if you think the Kobe Auto is worth more than $120..then it works out good for you. Probably screwd up for another person to get a chance.
On another football board, guy pulled a 2011 1/1 Braylon Edwards Shield that was MASHED (but probably not worth more than $80 mint), and his replacement was a 2010 Tebow Contenders (easily $120+) and a pack of Absolute Football ($30-40), so Panini did him well in terms of value.

I figured since the Durants were selling for around 130ish it was a fair deal in termas of value, plus I think having a Kobe auto numbered to his Jersey # is a little nicer than a Durant auto /10.
