Blake Griffin National Treasures RAP... my biggest trade ever

Was looking to change up the PC a little bit but ended up making a big splash. met a nice guy willing to hear me out and i traded up for this blake griffin national treasures. not really inclined to tell everyone how much cash i have into the card but it's probably less than you think. thought i'd share my new favorite card...despite it being kind of a mediocre card compared to many other crazy awesome cards i see in the show and tell section. thanks for the look and happy collecting!

PS. left a poll question. wanted to know people's thoughts about the future value of the card. would love to see what people think.

Its an insane card regardless... congrats!

I dont know what the value currently is, I know its value peaked at arpund all-star time last year and has come down a bit, but if he becomes a perennial all-star and makes deep playoff runs or runs at the mvp it will go up in value.

What cards did you have to part with to land that?

I couldn't really vote because I don't think it will lower, I think it obviously be higher IF the Clippers reach the finals and IF they win a championship. I don't it will stay the same, as the season progresses and the new teammates get acclaimed with each other they will become a much better basketball team than say they were tonight where they lost to the now 2-0 Spurs.

I don't it will lower, it has the potential to be higher but with IFs, I don't think it will stay the same. It may go up a little in value this season because CP3 is there now..

Edit: P.S. - LoL, sick card btw dude!!!!!!!

thanks for the compliment. i actually still miss the cards that i traded.... a very nice aaron rodgers rc auto bgs 9.5, a derrick rose rc auto bgs 9.5 ... and another rc card for his player PC to put a cherry on top.

i think the clippers are better than when they played against the warriors, but not as bad as they played against the spurs. i'm on the fence like you. i would love to see cp3 sign a long term extension with the clippers and see them contend for a championship the next 10 years. as for now... we have no idea what the clippers are, but i think it will be exciting to watch!

thanks for the nice comment. yea it is to early which is why i think its an interesting question to pose. we have no idea if he's going to be good or not since he's really only played 1 year, but with your experience watching basketball all these years... do you believe in him?

looks like with the early on votes the card is going to go down in value.

well when rookies do really well their first year, their cards go through the roof. Look at kobe's cards in his first few years..wayy up there. And now look at them..you can get some of his rookies for $5-20. So his cards may stay the same for the first 5 years or so, but he could always get injured, die in a car accident, get shot or have anything happen to him that may cause his cards to decline in the future. haha. I mean the future is the future so no one really knows. What I do know, is that Jordan cards will forever be on top because he was "the best" and is retired. I would sell this card to buy a solid investment if that is what you are looking to do.
