Ebay fees
I haven't sold anything on ebay in recent years but are they now taking a cut off the shipping costs as well?

Yes they are. They are doing that but now letting you start your auctions at whatever price you wish in hopes to force you into giving free shipping.

No, Ebay is charging fees on shipping in hopes of generating more revenue. Nothing ebay does is for the good of the seller.

10 reasons why:
1-9. they are doing it for more revenue.
10. they want to keep sellers from having outrageous shipping charges on items that dont cost anywhere near that much to ship just so they can get some money that they dont have to pay fees on. they have been talking about doing this for a few years now at their seller seminars and such. this way, the overall total gets fees so there is no reason for them to jack up the shipping.
i personally took the shipping amount into consideration when bidding or buying and would bid/buy accordingly, but, i guess not everyone does this.

isnt they charge for shipping if you use their shipping service? I know I was getting charged like 7 cents a card.

Problem is now sellers have to charge more shipping to cover the % eBay takes from them. I personally lose a bit on shipping but the 20% off fees that I get covers that.
