Question about getting a glove signed

Are fielding gloves good to get signed? Didn't know if the leather made the ink fade or not. If so, what's a good type of pen to use.

I've got a good chance to good a all-time gold glover and I thought it would be appropriate to get a Rawlings glove signed.

I have had two gloves signed for me in the past. I had my Little League one signed by Dick Groat (black sharpie - harder to see anymore!) and my High School one signed by George Kell (silver sharpie - still looks great!). Based on my personal experience, I would send a silver sharpie...
