Brock Lesnar retired...
Thoughts?
What does that do for he heavyweight division?

nothing , he had surgury recently and you knew overeem was going for the body , once lesnar got hit ,he start getting nervous or scared , time for another THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER heavy weight division , need more up n commers

You could tell Lesnar was nervous at the very beginning of the fight. His hands were out front shaking the whole time. Personally, I'm glad Lesnar is finally gone. He was never "The baddest man on the planet" to me. He was more of a promotion for the UFC like he was for the WWE. That's where he needs to go back to if he decides to stay in entertainment. I don't think it affects the heavyweight division at all. Just one more guy out who will never make it back on top. I also think the heavyweight division needs some new faces as well...more excitement.
Overeem vs JDS will be a good fight. Can't wait!

Brock was a legit number one HW in the world at one point. Weither people what to believe that or not is up to them, but he is a freak athlete and diserves respect for what he done in such a short amount of time. People can say he was pushed by the UFC that's the only reason he made it where he did, but that would be BS. You have to win to become a champion and Brock did that. One of the biggest what ifs will be how would Brock have done had he not gotten sick.
As forthe division, it just lost a top 10, maybe top 5 guy so it will not cripple it by any means, but it does kill off a pile of interesting match-ups. To be honest he just was not into it any more. The sickness took away the trust he hadin his body and also made him focus more on family than career. Good for Brock. He brought a lot of eye balls to the sport and i thank him for that. Wish him luck in anything he does.

they already did that and there's not enough unsigned heavy's to make it worth it.
Idk how Lesnar got cleared to fight he's had so many surgeries on his intestines, and it was clear one hit to lower stomach and he was done. I was surprised that Reem could stop the takedown, and that Lesnar only shot in once.

brock was never a good mma fighter. overeem kicked his ™™™ just as i expected him to. i respect brock for trying but just stick with pro wrestling.

Due To Rules Violations
I can't believe he actually did try to fight. I have Chron's which they thought was colitis and they just removed all of my large intestines after trying everything over two years, I almost died from it and still trying to recover. The pain is tremendous and I can't even think of getting hit there as your entire mid section is inflamed and swollen.
I wish him the best of luck, no matter what people say either you like him or not he did bring a lot of much needed attention to MMA.

I agree with you 100%.
UFC 100 is still my favorite event of all time and I will always remember him for that performance. You will be missed Brock!

To me thats just a ignorant statement. He might not have been a well rounded MMA fighter but you just dont go and beat veterans like couture, herring, carwin and mir without some kind of talent. I respect the guy for what hes done in this short amount of time on top of going through what he did. He didnt just "try" MMA, he suceeded in it. JMO
