    Clarke RC priced too high?

After watching the Winter Classic Alumni game I thought it would be cool to build a WC Alumni RC set. I already have RCs from many of the younger players, but would need to aquire the 70s and early 80s players.

I knew some of the players would be tougher and more expensive but the price of this Bobby Clarke RC has me shaking my head a bit.

It looks like Clarke RCs are selling from $30 - $100 with graded cards going for much more. The print quality of the cards seems to vary with many being wildly off center, which brings the price down. But $70 for a card with a savagely bent corner, a torn corner, soft edges and a stain (of some sort). This just seems out of whack!

It's open to offers. How much would you spend to acquire it?

That card is a piece of garbage by the look of the condition. It will get offers of no more than $3.00.

It's the guy's card. He can ask whatever he wants. Why do you care?

Why are you in a snit about what we post? The card is pretty much a mess.

As for me, I haven't bought many vintage cards and wanted some second opinions on the price, given the visible defects. That's why.

Which would still be an overpayment, I would't want that mess anywhere near my cards.

I picked up a quite damaged Messier RC for my Canucks RC collection. Didn't care too much about the condition since I hate Messier but needed a RC for my collection. Rounded corners, a couple of creases and dings and I'd have to say my Messier looks WORLDS better than that Clarke.

While I agree it's his card and he can charge what he wants, he'd have to pay me about $15 to take it from him and even then, it would probably be used for some sort of target practice (don't like Clarke, either)
