Yesterday I got legendary Chicago White Sox slugger, and future Hall of Famer, Frank Thomas, 2 cards and 1 8x10 signed, for a $5 charitable donation, at a store promoting his "Big Hurt Beer", in Highland Park, IL. I also bought two 12 packs of the beer, which he signed the outside cardboard on each. I don't drink, so this probably wasn't the best investment!

Today, I got current Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings, 8 cards signed for free, at an appearance in Kenosha, WI.

Today, I waited in a long line to get wrestling Hall of Famer, The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, 3 cards and 1 8x10 signed, for free, at an appearance in Gurnee, IL. They cut the line off at about 400 people, an hour before the appearance was supposed to start. He was incredibly friendly, and seemed to enjoy chatting with the fans.

Today, I got multiple autographs at the Chicago Bears Day at Arlington Racetrack in Arlington Heights, for the cost of admission to the racetrack.

First, I got Jarrett Payton, son of Walter Payton, who was promoting his new beer. I got one 8x10 and a card signed:

I also got a generic Bears logo 8x10 signed by former Super Bowl XX Champion Chicago Bear Tom Thayer, and also in attendance was Super Bowl XX Champion Chicago Bear Steve "Mongo" McMichael, who I have gotten so many times, I have absolutely nothing left for him to sign!

Man there are alot of appearances there. How do you hear of them all? I use google alerrs but i dont see anything like this. Of course you are in Chicago , a great city, but wow

I was at a game in China and I was 3 meters away. He looked multiple times and never came over to sign.

samsdad-I check signingshotline.com, and a chicago-based autograph site, but also browse team websites for appearances, or look for store grand opening events, etc.

nowitzki41lam14-Yes. He seems to do a bunch of appearances for the Bucks, locally in the Milwaukee-area, but this is the closest I have seen him to Chicago. He was blase, not friendly, but not unfriendly.

Sweet Brandon Jennings. I wanted to get him IP when he plays the hawks but the first time I went he didn't come out to sign and I didn't get a chance to go to the game last season.
