i have a signed romlb signed by AROD in sharpie thought it was a goner but kept it anyway in my personal collection 8 years later it looks like i got it signed the other day. i cant say that for many of my bic blue signed balls Fading and TONING to the balls have turned me more toward getting cards, pictures, programs or tickets signed as i think a paper/flat item will hold the autograph from fading alot better then a ball. also flat items are alot easier to store then balls. although lighting and tempature can effect fading and toning to a ball.

This is the front and side of a ball I got signed by Dan Uggla at a game a few years ago. I was so satisfied with the result so I decided to get him to sign another Ripken ball last season.

So where would I get an ROMLB ball and how would I know I'm picking one up? How much do they go for?. Modells usually have the officals for 15-18.00. If I go to the Yankees or Mets Clubhouse stores, more.

I use Ripken League balls as an alternative. I believe they are made of real leather and you can buy 2 for $8 at Modells or Dick's. I've had signed Ripken League balls for a few years now and they look like when I first got them signed.

I use the same ones. Have been for about a year and a half now. They are much cheaper and you can stay in the Rawlings family. Hold the sig great, no bleeding or fading. The do have the "made in China" about the sweet spot but besides that, you can't tell the difference.

My suggestion is Wal-Mart. I go to college at Wooster and went to a game this past year. Before the game I stopped by to see if i could get a ROMLB...11 bucks. The price since has changed i think, but I would advise people to check out their local Wal-marts.

I understand that you can take scotch tape and place it over the made in Chine stamp. Rub your nail over the scotch tape over the logo and remove the tape. The made in China stamp is supposed to come up with the tape when you then pull it off.

Tried it but it didn't work. I takes some of it off but not all of it. You can still see. Just gonna to leave it there, don't want to blemish the ball. Thanks though, worth a shot.

Thanks for sharing. I might pick a couple up to try at Clippers games this year...

I had a Dick's gift card, so I stopped and bought a few baseballs today...ROMLB's were $16.99, which seemed high, and the Ripken League balls were $4.99. Grabbed one ROMLB and a couple of the Ripkens, which seem like pretty quality baseballs.
