Astronomy questions
Iv never liked science but find astronomy really interesting.
Just wanted to share some questions that have boggled my mind for weeks now and see what you guys think
1. Is it possible to go back in time? If so without dealing with paradoxes? Such as the grandfather paradox? Could we somehow travel to back in time BUT travel to another parallel universe? The grandfather paradox is if we kill our grandfather, we will never be born. So if we travelled to another universe and we did that there would be no 'effect' in this universe...which leads me to my next question..
2. Is there another universe out there? Are there infinite number of universes? Space never ends so there must be?
3. Where does all Of the matter from a dark hole go to? Does it just stay there forever? Until that black hole somehow gets stretched or ripped apart?
4. What happened before the big bang? Do big bangs happen ever trillion years? Which would mean that there was a big bang a trillion years before the big bang we know of today?Last edited by MasonRaymond0320; 01-07-2012 at 01:19 AM.

I doubt most of us here know much more about this stuff than you do, but I'll try. :)
1. I highly doubt it. I know it is a fascinating and alluring concept for many people, hence its frequent manifestation in science fiction, but the likelihood of it being possible in the real world is quite slim.
2. If there is, it sure is elusive. :) The universe we know is already mind-bogglingly large. There are some things that are billions and billions of light years away from us. Then again, what do we know? As much as our scientific understanding has advanced in the last few hundred years, there is still much we don't know.
3. This link tries to answer such a question: http://www.physlink.com/education/askexperts/ae262.cfm
4. No one really knows - we can only hypothesize.

Going back in time in theory is possible. It was once thought it as impossible to travel faster than the speed of sound until it was done many decades ago. Why not faster than the speed of light, I believe they possibly have discovered something that travels faster than the speed of light. I'd have to look it up but remember recently hearing about it. also something I find interesting is that its been proven that the faster you travel, time slows down. if memory serves right they tested this during take off of s space shuttle and in orbit with atomic clocks.

Well I was watching videos on time travel back in time, and one guy is working on a time machine. He said it'll soon be possible (hopefully) to be able to send something very small back in time such as a neutron. That would still be very amazing.
Light, matter and energy are all related. And light makes it possible to go back in time, so. Maybe it is possible???

Apparently Darren Daulton has been time traveling for years...when he's not talking to lizards
skip to the 3:00 mark for the good stuff (aka the crazy talk)
