And we've seen how many players the Bruins have put out. Don't act like the Bs are blameless. I'm not going to say Boston is the dirtiest team in the league, but I will say that if Marchand and Lucic aren't reigned in and soon, they will be.
In 5 years it will be like having Matt Cooke and Sean Avery together. I can't wait to see how that works out for you.
And yes, someone is eventually going to take Marchand's head off if he doesn't settle down. He has very, VERY quickly built a reputation.
Let's see. Leave him alone, watch him get kicked out, win the game on that powerplay, say goodbye and likely not see them until next season or lose your mind, take his head off, lose a third, possibly fourth player and eventually the game. Let Hartnell or Prust or someone else take the suspension. We'll take the powerplay and the 2 points and let you get back to the 70s
I gotta say, coach, you're team would be feared, but you'd be on the golf course before the season ended. You and Hice should get together and not watch a game. ;)Last edited by Wickabee; 01-09-2012 at 05:49 PM.

Waiting for a later time regarding retribution for the dirty hit on Salo hit does not work. That may not happen until next year, or ever.
The Canucks should have taken care of it immediately.
You know it, I know it, and the Canadian People know it.

I didn't say wait until next game. I said wait and see what the call is. If he's getting kicked out, no need to send one of your own guys out of the game with him. If he doesn't get kicked out you have the rest of the game to take his head off.
As it stands he was kicked out, so let someone else take the suspension when Marchand inevitably gets his head taken off.
If you watch the clip, two Canucks went in after him, but Chara held them off until the refs stepped in. At that point, there's absolutely no reason whatsoever to take a stupid penalty in the name of retribution. Take care of it on the scoreboard, which they did. That powerplay won them the game.
Your mentality would have lost them the game. I'll take a win over seeing someone run at Marchand. It's going to happen eventually anyway, so I'll take the two points instead thanks.
After all, the point is to win the game, isn't it?

If your guy gets hit dirty, you attack
If the ref boots you out, the next guy Scores for you and fills your shoes
That is a team, not running near Marchand and crapping thenselves when chara gets near
If nobody on the team stands up for salo, that shows quit, and a lack of team bond
Wellwood got drilled in the head the other night, and immediately Kane went after green, even though green is much larger and a tough guy
He didn't crap himself, and he didn't whine to anyone, he dealt with green, and I'm sure wellwood thanked him
Salo had nobody to thank, because nobody showed that they cared
Noel didn't ask other teams to Hurt green, the guys stood up for themselves

Chara was protecting Marchant with Sedin standing there. Yessssssss. 180 pound vs a 6'6 freak of nature. Then what? Wait till the next puck drop, take a penalty and possibly lose the game?

Which is why Vancouver scored 2 goals on that powerplay and won the game on those goals. No team indeed

Some team, jump a guy 6 on one, then scatter when the reinforcements come. Over a seven game series when the refs start to get tired of the underhanded tactics, whining, embellishing and start putting away the whistles, the Canucks just cant compete with the Bruins, which is why they didn't win the cup last year. You can hide behind the refs and 11 PP in a regular season game, but in a playoff series, no chance!! No grit, no heart, no dice!! It took 11 PP and 2 Ejections of 2 top line players to beat us 4-3.....

Chara is 6'10" not 6'6". Lol
As mentioned earlier, an appropriately placed spear to the back of the leg tendon, or the balls, takes care of the monsters. Works all the time. Chara was so willing to abuse Sedin the other evening, you could see it almost come to a boil.
He is more than willing to be a bully.
