Selling Cards on SCF

Hey guys I was just about to post a thread with cards for sale in the hockey forum but remebered the trader rating rule. My question is how does this work? I understand I am supposed to send first, But I feel sorta sketchy about sending a card waiting for the buyer to recieve then getting my paypal payment?

Can anyone better explain how this works to put me at ease

If you are afraid to send high dollar cards and not get paid I would start off with some low end cards base, inserts, etc. This can help you work up to the 20 trades you need to get the Must Send First rule off.

Josh, the MSF Rule does indeed apply to selling transactions. Unfortunately in the past we have had new members appear at SCF claiming to have all sorts of high-end cards available for sale - they would get the payment and then promptly disappear or not send out the cards they had committed to sell. It is deeply regrettable that such people exist in the hobby, and as a consequence we had to institute the policy where new members would have to demonstrate their legitimacy by sending the cards/payment first in all transactions as a gesture of good faith.

As was noted above, for your first series of transactions, you can complete some lower-end deals and look to find people that have well-established reputations here as good traders.
