Change to the infraction System, Please Take Note

We will be tweaking the user infraction system over the rest of the month. Some things will be removed, some will be merged and some points values may go up or down. We want to make sure we're not being to strict but on the other hand we need to be stern on certain infractions. Please stay tuned for future changes. Here is what we have so far:

SCF has an infraction system. It consists of the following:

5 Points = 3 day suspension
10 points = 7 day suspension
15 point = Ban

All members can use the "contact us" button at the button of SCF or send a PM to a staff member to appeal any suspensions/bans.

• TOS/Rule Reminder-Verbal 0 / 14 Day(s)
• Spammed Advertisements or a site other than trading 1 / 30 Day(s)
• Posting a cash auction on the forums 1 / 30 Day(s)
• Unapproved contests/fantasy links that involve any type of financial item 1 / 30 Day(s)
• Thread Hijacking 1 / 30 Day(s)
• Other 1 / 30 Day(s)
• Bumping 2 / 45 Day(s)
• Trading incoming cards 2/ 12 Month(s)
• Posting Incoming Cards for Trade/Sale 2 / 45 Day(s)
• Signature Rule Violation 2 / 45 Day(s)
• Incomplete profile information 3 / 60 Day(s)
• Other 3 / 60 Day(s)
• Unapproved pack/box sales/grab bags/group breaks 3 / 60 Day(s)
• Posting redundant/duplicate threads 3 / 60 Day(s)
• Bumping 2nd offense 3 / 3 Month(s)
• Inappropriate Language and/or Insulting other members 3 / Never
• Not sending your end as a must send first 5 / Never
• Creating Multiple Accounts, Regardless of Reason 5 / Never
• Failure to send your end aka backing out on a confirmed sale/trade in the Trade Manager 5 / Never
• Not adhering to Transferred Feedback Rules as an Established Trader 5 / Never
• Excessive Behavior/Causing Problems - Swearing/Insulting Other Members 5 / Never

• Sending cards that are damaged without letting the other trader become aware of the damage 5 / Never

• Attempting to illegally sell, purchase or trade copyrighted materials through any facet of the site. 15 / Never

(Our network of sites includes Trader Retreat, Absolute Hobbyist and Non Sports Card Forum. If you are not linking to those sites, then it is considered spam.)

Question on duplicate threads- there are a few members who every month post the same thread with only updates to a few cards, instead up bumping their original thread. Is this considered redundant/duplicate threads, and should it be reported?
