RANT #2: People thinking they are ABOVE the rules::Sending First
No offense to any person under 20 trades who are following the rules correctly. But if you aren't going to follow the rules then why be a part of the site? I mean really, everyone had to do it(or supposed to do). I digress, but I keep running into people saying that it doesn't apply to them, etc. I mean COME ON MAN!

Do what I do. Set up the trade and once it is accepted what choice do they have? Negative or send first since the trade says they send first.

Thats funny, and a GREAT idea. I remember my VERY first sell on this site, and I had not read the rules. I sold a Robert Meachem Exquisite auto rc really cheap because I needed some quick cash and my rating was single digits. It sold super fast (like I had expected) and then after it was posted and confirmed the guy thanked me and told me he would send the money over as soon as he got the card. I was thinking what the...!!?? I then read the rules and obviously fulfilled my obligation. That, paired with the fact I was scammed (well, the money was recouped, but still...) is why I am VERY strict about not paying first to ANYONE who has yet to hit 20 feedbacks.

I run into this a lot, but not always. I did it my first 20, even the 19th one (I had 4 pending feedbacks) and the buyer still made me send first. Was a bit extreme in my opinion, but MSF rules are a must. I brought this up on another site and got blasted by everyone over it calling me unreasonable for asking people to send first.
MSF under name = send first or get your first negative.

Really? Why not just be upfront and make sure they know the rules. Doing that just seems shady to me, like you are trying to trick them.

exactly why I always in the finalizing PM of the deal ill say "you will be going by must send first rules right?" that way if they wont send first I just dont post it and move on.

I always start off with that, it isn't worth my time to work out a trade/purchase if they aren't going to send first.

What is shady about it? I know I am fulfilling my end, he hasn't proven he will fulfill his.
Also it is all over the TOS so they shouldn't be doing any deals without knowing the rules. In the trade manager right under the users name it says that he must send first. Not my responsibility to inform others of the rules, I follow them myself.
