Interesting Successes tonight at the Tribe vs Rays game tonight

Batting Practice/ Pre-game- 1/1 Autographed Ticket- Elliot Johnson, SS for the Tampa Bay Rays. Came over and was really nice. Signed quite a few items then went away. Luke Scott came over to a personal friend, however I was too far away and unable to get anything from him.

    After the game:

Waited around in the parking lot for a while; saw the usual people like Choo and Cabrera leave without acknowledging the existence of the fans. There was also a firework show afterwards and events were slow. I felt like leaving, that was until i saw something interesting. It looked like former GM and current team manager Mark Shapiro. I screamed out his name and asked him to sign, sure enough it was him.

1/1 Mark Shapiro- Eastern League Ball. Really had nothing else for him to sign. What's worse is that he signed the ball with a sharpie. A piece of me hurt a little bit, but I'd rather have the auto then no auto at all. Plus its a cool piece to have as an Indians fan.

2/2 Chris Perez- Now a 2x All-Star. I caught Perez signing near a white tent next to the Indians parking garage. Right when I got to him, I handed him over my 2012 heritage. As he was almost finished, I remember that he use to be a rookie of my all-time favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals. So i asked him to sign my Cardinals hat, and he reached out and grabbed it. Awesome guy, but perhaps not as good as...

1/1 Justin Masterson- This is my 2nd time getting him this year and the guy is truly a class act. The man had an off night and lost in a bad start against the Rays. Normally, players may be in a bad mood and blow off fans. Masterson went out of his way to sign for one side of the fence, walk over to the other side of the fence, and sign for the other side. He even took time out of signing to answer a question that I had about his signature. That guy will always have my respect because of that.

Pics of this will be up tomorrow. Overall, a pretty cool night.

Every now and then I start to question why I do this hobby, but today gave me the excitement and drive that showed me just why.

2/2 Joe Johnson of the now Brooklyn Nets. This was huge. I had gotten the address from somebody off the recent success forum. I asked him for the addy and he gave it. I can't remember who, but if you're reading this and it is you, thanks bro. Sent these way back around the time I sent my Spring Training letters. Both cards came back signed. Some rough condition on one, but nonetheless signed. Awesome day! Pictures will come up late tonight!

Sorry for the delay, here are some of the recent pics of autos received:

Plus another TTM from Justin Masterson came back from when i sent it at college. roughly around 3 months.

Two New additions to add as well. Minnesota Twins Closer Matt Capps and WWE HOF'er, Good 'Ol JR, Jim Ross. Capps was sent around the 2nd week of the MLB season while JR was probably sent around a few weeks back.

We're getting close to the number as each day passes, and with this weekend being Indians vs Orioles...I am hoping to add a VERY big name to the collection. Even if it means adding a dent to my wallet. Essh. Stay Tuned.

Can't lie today as I am not thrilled with my return today.

I sent to Al Kaline a few days back with five bucks and two cards, both in a large case with loose sheets on them too. Today I got the return letter back and I received the case back with the Heritage Kaline card unsigned inside of it. Outside of the case is the Kaline Gypsy queen, signed but not protected and (go figure) bent up in the corner. Being Al Kaline, I really wanted this to stay safe and add this to my collection in near mint...however that won't be the case. With the exception of the bent top right corner, it's a nice signature and I do thank Mr. Kaline. Just wished he would of placed it back in the case. Oh well, that's the risk you take I guess. Tomorrow I'm going to see the Tribe take on the Orioles so that should be fun!

Some nice stuff tonight at the Indians vs. Orioles:

Before the game, I awaited for Jim Thome as well as after...only to be snubbed by him. Which was surprising but it happens. However, two people from the orioles went down the right field line and signed. Tommy Hunter and Miguel Gonzalez:

After the game, went to the Parking Garage and had a field day! The usuals didn't sign, but almost everybody else did. Including Jason Kipnis (autographed ticket not pictured), Johnny Damon, Ubaldo Jimenez, Travis Hafner, and Aaron Cunningham.

So overall, not a bad night. Added 3 new autos and got to see a semi-decent game.

Bummer about Thome, but those A&G cards look GREAT. I really want to get up to Cleveland again this season to get Damon and Cunningham, and finish up some of my Ubaldo stuff. The Heritages look great too; nice choice of cards!

Tell ya what Lambeau, give you and any Indians fans advice. Go to a game sometime soon. Buy a new baseball glove at target, a kids mitt. They range around 9 dollars if you find the right one and go to their charity drive at section 154. after you donate it and check it with customers service, they will give you 1 free ticket and 1 voucher for an autograph session. That would give you 23 dollar tickets for free along with a free autograph session with the team. I did that for my Girlfriend and I and its a good thing to do for charity.

For members reading this, I have a huge announcement coming in the next few days. Stay tuned.

Got back from work, but just got 2 more in the mail. Former Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, Marlins, Etc. Outfielder Mike Cameron. And Swingman/3 Point Specialist Jason Kapono. Kapono was definitely during winter break around early January...so that one's been a while. Cameron was probably back around June.

As promised, a BIG announcement is set to come up and I promise you that you will not want to miss it. Planning on the announcement being on either Friday or Saturday. Stay Tuned.

This is a great thread dude, just sat here and read the whole thing over the last hour. Got me inspired to try some TTMs. Keep up the good work and thanks for the thread.
