    Card Show Pickup...

Been collecting off/on since 1985 and I cannot believe this was the first time I ever went to a show. I always miss them by a few days or a week it seems. Next Thursday is my birthday though, so I made sure not to miss this one. I'm a college student so funds are limited, I decided to try to get a nice auto for my PC. Nolan Ryan was my first choice since I've always wanted one of his, and I knew I couldn't afford a Ripken, Mays, Mantle...etc

For me this is a pretty big addition, and while I have cards with a higher BV, this one represents the single largest amount I have ever paid for a single card.

Thanks for the compliments everyone - I'm really stoked on the card! I have semi-collected his cards since I was a kid, all base since that's all I've been able to afford, so I couldn't be happier with this one!

I think I got a decent deal too - the same card (but the blue version, same BV, same #/50 etc) just sold today on ebay for the same price I paid for mine at the show. Considering mine is at least slabbed/graded - although that's not a big deal to me, I think it adds a touch of value...

Nice addition! Can't go wrong with him that's for sure! I have a very mean Griffey PC that I have been stoked about for a long time! Check it out when you get a chance! Thanks!
