breakawaycards, the seller you linked to, is a highly respected and reputable person in the hobby. His cards do typically sell for a premium because of who he is.

I'll also add that since someone got their Hall there is one less buyer for the next one, so it should be expected that the next one won't sell for as much as the last one.

Lol, OK. The day I'd pay $1,000.00 more for a card based solely on someone's reputation is the day I leave this game.

That card sold for almost $4K because breakaway cards was the first one out of the gate, no other reason.

However, the fact that the seller made mention of this in the thread, tells me he fully believed he'd get a similar amount.

And I do I agree with you that Mark is very respected and reputable and I'm sure that the other person's 99.4% Positive feedback hurt him in getting what he wanted for the card.

Cup APR set collectors and buyers are a breed on their own. You can't just treat them like an average buyer or market.

Cup set builders are absolutely nuts when it comes to sillyness in the patches.

probably the worst time to sell that card is now

the team is not playing well, w/ lots of injuries

This SPx Hall RC has just as nice of a Patch and is only Numbered to #/25

Almost 99% of the comments you make on these boards is about how much more you know than everyone else ..... then you compare a Cup RC /99 to a SPx RC Parallel ..... and actually think its a fair comparison.

And yes, if you did any research at all, look at breakawaycards Cup auctions compared to any other Cup auction .....his stuff sells better than everyone elses. It doesnt matter what you think, or what you think you know ..... you cant argue the last month or so of facts.
