Thanks, if your looking for a fun break this is most definitely it, 5 autos, 2 game used per pack, and a chance at some wicked patches or nameplates. I think the price point is pretty good considering prices these days, good luck with whatever you choose

I didn't ever do a box last year.... but I did like Donruss. It (and Black Diamond) were my go-to sets for buying 5 packs here, 5 packs there kinda thing.

That price for the case sounds really good, but I don't think the set was particularly well recieved by collectors. I'm not sure why.... but the re-sale / trade value just never seemed there..... Unless you get lucky enough to pull a Justin Beiber Auto, in which case you've hit the jackpot (I sold one last year that would have covered a little more than half you case price).

I'd avoid Donruss at all costs. When you can buy copies of the #1 rookie of the year (Hall) on Ebay for a dollar, you know it's not a good ROI.

Depending on your pricing range, consider a case of Panini Certified as it's consistently one of Panini's best products and delivers a lot of good hits. Other cheap alternative is Score - if you hit one of those ReCollection Collection autos you may end up paying for your case in one fell swoop. Plus the SSP RC's and auto parallels do very well.

On the UD side, you can never go wrong with Series 1. Black Diamond is also delivering some pretty good hits this year.

ITG - Enforcers is very popular, and last year's Between The Pipes was up to its usual high expectations.

Ud Fanboy #2 says avoid Donruss like the plague. Enforcers gives you 99 cent-3$ autos. With your budget I'd say UD1 is your best bet.

The Prices must have went down from when I got it then. I was selling the Jeff Skinner rookies for about 15 a pop and the hall about 25 a pop, hall jersey 35 etc... thanks for the info, didn't know it went down that much in value. Still love the design though.

May also look into a mini (8 box) case of something, maybe zenith. Heard that wasnt too good though. Or a case of contenders could be fun, a little more then I would like to spend, but some nice looking cards.

Score, never liked, going to stay away from.

I think RGM covered it in his later post, no ROI , and value is not there for donruss.

Score is not a product I'd go for, but don't hesitate to buy panini products

Save your money, andaybe buy some sp authentic(if you wanna wait) or crown or limited
Depends what you're doing though, keeping or reselling
Depends what sport you want most etc

But I'd say to stay away from score, not much value in the product, and personally I find it to be boring

Thats where you're all wrong. I'm not a UD fanboy, but panini has not done a single thing to impress me.. plain and simple. They are a "cash-grab" business more then anything. (so many issues as a company as well, but I won't go there.)

Hockey has the best re-sale value of all the Sports. You can at least get rid of the inserts unlike Baseball, Football and Basketball where nobody wants them.
