If Howe in Panini hockey is similar to Kobe in Panini basketball...well, we will all have Howe autographs soon, my friends.

Hopefully Panini read this thread and take it into account, but likely not. Sell any Howe autos now before they are worthless after Panini and ITG flood the market!

This is great news and I'm not surprised either. I remember reading that after his wife died, it (understandably) took quite a toll on him and he was becoming depressed and didn't know what to do with himself. His kids then encouraged him to get out and go to more public events and public signings because they believed it would be good for his mental health.

In my opinion, I would say it has helped him a lot. I would say that his recent agreements with Panini and ITG have a little bit to do with keeping busy among other things (money, not being exclusive to UD, etc.).

Now we only need Orr and Gretzky to sign with all 3 companies. The value going down is good for collectors looking to buy singles. Bad for people breaking product to flip cards. The problem though is the way the hobby is set up around rookies. I'd rather have a SPA Limited Auto/Patch /25 of Wayne Gretzky than a Taylor Hall Cup Rookie /99.

+1 on the laughter, enjoyed the thread.

Regarding Howe, well maybe it is about time some of these HOF superstars $$$ in on the market. Not sure it matters to a collector of Gordie as they still have the limited versions of cards gone by. I have watched the same occur for Bossy but the new versions just give me a reason to keep collecting.

And I love Mats comment, give me a HOF'er any day over the hype. Still battle with "do I spend $100 on just another Tavares or one hell of a Bossy card"

Be awesome if we all had a Howe, Gretzky, Orr, Crosby auto in our collection. Right now I do not have any of them, but I like the trend that some day I will.

people complained that ITG the Panini didn't have enough "star" power...then they get one the all time greats and people still complain? sounds like just more of the same old "anti-panini" talk
Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!
