a lil mojo for karma

i was in a team draft case break of panini limited tonight and a guy with a very poor draft spot really wanted the avalanche, so i grabbed them and ended up trading colorado for the sens as a favor to him. i did fairly average through the case i think i got 4 freshman phenoms, but unfortunately missed on all the case hits. once the break had concluded, not feeling satisfied with my hits i asked about boxes laying around for sale. all that was available was 11-12 certified so i grabbed 1 of the 2 boxes on hand. open up the first pack, its a hot box! with an /5 emerald mason as the big hit. second pack comes carey price /10, 3rd pack /99 tim thomas dual jersey. Then the big boy comes in the fourth pack, as the host slowly reveals the name of the player i manage to read 'taylor hall' then he pulls down the card a little further to show the memoribilia, its a canadian flag!?!? it was a 1/1 tag patch of last years number 1 overall. the rest were pretty well base packs but what a great end to the night and thanks for the karma upie

I was part of that break Swinny and when you did what you did for Upie, I was quite impressed by your generosity. They say good things come to good people and I'm glad you received some nice Karma after all for your nice gesture.

thank you 416beatles. the reason i did it was because the last break i was in i wasnt able to secure my favorite team and regardless of my offers of teams,money or a combination of the two. i felt genuine resentment for a little bit towards the person who kept my team. so with that fresh in my mind i deicided that i wouldnt do that

Well good on you! I take part in many of the Boxripper breaks and I remember that ....it's too bad some just don't get it...(case break Limited #2 with Tiger).
Anyway, the card is a beauty!! If we're ever in the same break with Tiger or Eric and I can help in any way, I would be happy to work something out.

this is why i love the site so much. it almost feels like a brotherhood. we all kind of have our teams that we favor and in breaks there doesnt seem to be overlap too often and ppl will usually let you get you fav team. its only happened on a couple occasions that i havent gotten them but you cant win every time
