#'d card but no serial #?
Doing my inventory and I came across a card I have, in the inventory manager it shows it is serial #'d out of 6500. Is it possible that it does not have a serial #, but that just means how many were produced of that card?
It is a card out of the 1993 Classic Four Sport Images set. There aren't any other options. I just wanted to find out for sure. I'm figuring that means a print run and it isn't officially #'d.

Yes some cards in the hobby have a stated print run but are not actually serial #ed on the card itself.

Yes, it's just poor wording in the Inventory Manager.

A lot of those Classic sets had the "serial number" on the packaging.

Some cards are serial numbered to an amount while others are only short print to that amount. There would be only 100 made but there is no indication on the card just information from the manufacturer. I don't think the inventory manager distinguishes the difference.

I prefer when the card actually has a stamped # on it. Just makes it more official to me.

Yeah if it is actually there then you know what you have. I just have so many cards it is sometimes tough to tell what I have if it says it is #'d and there is none in sight.
Also I hate when there is a parallel version of something and no easy way to tell if what I have is the parallel, the non #'d type as well. And the scans people have don't look any different than the base card.
