I have a question?
I was wondering if you got a patch card signed in person if it would ruin or increase the value because on the back it doesn't say like signed, may seem like a dumb question but I want to be sure.

My thoughts on this - if you get a card signed by a player in person..... if you then try to sell the card down the road, you're selling an "In Person Autograph" and not the card.
That being said - if it's a really premium / well known card..... you may get a pretty nice price for it.
I guess it would depend on what kind of patch card you're talking about. If it were me - I would probably look for somthing else to get signed, rather than a really limited patch /5. If it's a card /100, or more, and looks really nice signed..... I think you've got something cool to hang onto, but I doubt you'll see that card sell for much more than what a base card signed by the same player is worth.

It depends on the player and the card. If it's for your PC and you're not likely to move it anyways, there's absolutely no harm in doing such a thing. I got a Price/Roy dual GU card signed last year by both players and there's no chance of it ever leaving my PC. It's got COA from a very reputable dealer on the back, so I'm covered on that front anyways. There's just no way a card like that is ruined or diminished by having two great goalies sign it. LOL
If it's something that you would do to sell, it may have an adverse effect on value just because there's so many people out there that claim to have in-person signatures on a nice card. Unless you have absolute verifiable proof or send it in for authentication, people will probably shy away from buying it off you for any kind of mark-up.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

If I were to do that, it would be in my plan to have it authenticated once signed. That way if you do ever want to get rid of it you have proof it's the IP auto and not just scribbling.
