Are Ultimate Collection Debut Threads considered true RCs?
I'm looking to pick up a good rookie card of Jordan Eberle and saw one of the above on the bay. Are they true rookie cards and, if not, what is? Thanks.

No they are not, still rookie cards but not true rookies, his true rookie is Ultimate Rookie Auto /99. Hope it helps!
They are still beautiful cards, I collect 10 11 Ultimate cards, I'd go for it anyways!

No. They are an insert.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Shoot. I'm looking for a decent rookie of his. The only one I have is OPC and, while that's nice, I'd like to have a card with a little more value. So, I'm debating between a YG, FWA or RTA...granted...I don't have a whole lot of cash and not much more trade bait.

I have an Artifacts RC /699 if you're interested in that, though it's not on your list. PM me if you are.

Hey, thanks for the offer. I think I'm looking for something just a bit better though. Here's a link to my traders: https://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1577643 I may be shooting for the moon here, but you never know. I just wish I had better trade bait.

FWA alwas hold value. I'd be aiming for that one if it's possible for you.

A true rookie card is part of a "base set". I don't mean base set in the sense that it's a common card.... but the main set, numbered like all the others. These can be auto'd, GU cards, serial numbered, short printed (or any combination of the bunch). Not a parallel of such a card either.
For Eberle - the only card that's part of the Ultimate release, and is considered a true rookie card, would be the Auto /99 that is part of the main set.
The National Treasures is a little bit different. IMO - No it is not, and it should not be.... but I would have also said the same thing about Ice last year, and many people still consider those (Ice) to be true RCs.
National Treasures was not a release, you can not buy packs of it - so to me, it's simply an Insert within Dominion. A really nice one, but still an insert.
I think the whole "true rookie card" thing is over rated anyway. Yes, I'm a RC collector too.... and I do value owning "true RCs" but being a RC doesn't mean it's a great card, and not being a RC doesn't mean it's still not a great card.
