In the past few months, former Portland Winterhawks coach Brent Peterson's ongoing battle with Parkinson's disease has taken some amazing turns.

Peterson stepped down as an associate coach with the NHL's Nashville Predators last May and underwent radical brain surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. His recovery has astounded everyone he knows, including his doctors.
