    Help--How Can I Detect Card Trimming?

    I have bought cards on ebay and am wondering how to detect trimming?
    Some discussion please...

    I think the best thing to do is compare to another card from the set, if you have one. But I think most if not all cards have the same dimensions so probable any card would work and then just measure'em up. You know, put one card on top of the other or side by side to see if all corners and sides match up.

    Another way I guess would to be measure the cards you have with a ruler. Also I don't think all cards are the same exact size so if it off just a hair I would worry. Sometimes theres miscuts or other reasons cards are not always the exact same size.

    I agree with pantera04. If you're talking about modern cards, just stack it with other cards from the same set. They should all be the same. If you're talking about vintage cards, you might want to consider getting it graded. Or get a free opinion from someone at a card show.
