Sam Gagner's 8 point night a seller's dream
Did a search of completed sales for Sam Gagner out of curiosity after last's nights 4 goal, 4 assist effort by the 6th overall pick in 2007.
Completed sales in order of "highest first". Note the dates and times of the highest sales.
Feb 3 - The Cup Rainbow ARP after 8 point night
Jan 10 - The Cup Rainbow ARP before 8 point night
I find it amazing. I thought to myself last night, I could probably get $25 for his Young Guns right now if I really wanted to post it. I wouldn't be far off.

That's not hype, though. That's instant results based on a once-in-a-lifetime performance.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

The way he played the last two seasons he needs about 4 of those nights per year.

I'm hoping that the performance lures out some of the high end stuff that I've never seen to pop up for sale.

Went to my LCS today which has very few hockey singles on display, like 20 or less, and there was a Gagner. I was impressed they dug it out in one day heh.

The fact that people have reacted to his cards so vigorously based on his NHL Journeyman status amazes me.
Although humans are more like lemmings than lemming are, I really shouldn't be surprised. One week of severely over-price Gagner cards for sellers, then back into their Rabbit Warrens until the next fluke.
