A Dryden auto card sold for less than it should have, so let's slag all young and/or new collectors...
Why would you expect a younger collector to chase after a player he has no knowledge of, has never seen play, and who hasn't been in the league for over 3 decades? Some of those players you guys "couldn't care less about" will be the stars of tomorrow, and future hall of famers, and to say you followed them before they became big, is cool for some people. While it does happen, not everyone who isn't collecting guys from the 60s and 70s is only into the flavour of the week. I'm pointing no fingers, I'm naming no names, and I'm not even really personally involved in either side of this (I enjoy collecting old and new players, and I'm neither young nor old in age), but as a general observation, I have never seen a thread, post, or comment from a younger member slagging an older member for who or what they collect. It's a shame the same can't be said in reverse. Nobody should ever be made to feel that they need to justify who or what they collect, young, old, or in between.

I put the auto swirl set together about 10 years ago. One card I never got or saw in 10 years of looking was the Rick MArtin. I was happy to get it for $50 on that same auction the Dryden went on. On the one I got his auto is a little smudged but I was happy to get it. Don't know if Martin signed all his swirl cards as I saw one offered a few years back with swirl but no auto. I should have bought that variant when I had the chance. Love this pack auto inserted set. I believe as stated earlier it is the only card Dryden signed for a company set. That's a lot of sets in 21 years that he has refused to sign for including itg.
