curious shipping method
Recieved a package of 13 cards today and the packaging used was "interesting" to say the least. The 13 cards had been divided up into 3 stacks. Each stack was slid into a pocket in the middle row of a 9-pocket page. The page was then folded into thirds and placed inside a 5 x 11 padded envelope. There were no penny sleeves or rigid holders, just the 9-pocket sheet. Surprisingly all of the cards came out OK.
Perhaps the packing choice was made because these were mostly base cards worth less than 25 cents each. This was certainly a clever way of shipping, but I don't think I'd trust any high value cards to this method.Hidden Content

No harm no foul. Quite genius if you ask me. In fact, I received a bulk lot of jersey cards the same way a week or so ago, except inside penny sleeves first then the pages. All came out flawless. Surprising, but, I can see how this is able to work safely.

"Whatever works", that's my motto. Although this one's new to me I've tried some unorthodox shipping methods in the past.

seems like a good way to pack your cards if you have extra sheets laying around.

I've received 2 packages in folded up 9-pockets. They came through alright. If it was a valuable card I'd have been kinda choked, but it worked quite well.

I have received cards protected in a number of ways with balsa wood, layers of card board, air pillows and the aforementioned folder up 9 pocket sheets. So far, no complaints because they all come through in fine condition.
