    90's Promo Cards and distribution

Any idea how promo cards were distributed in the 90's. As a collector I got a few from beckett but most of the promo's I got where from sellers. Did the companies include promo cards to dealers who bought large amounts of product?

    Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not sure how these cards were distributed, but I got all of my from my LCS. The owner of the store always seemed to have tons of promo cards and he gave them out during trade days.

Most Promos were shipped ahead of time to LCS stores that wanted them. Companies like Topps also kept back a few to throw in with your replacements whenever you sent in damaged cards.
