lol its actually a really funny story how I got it. Me and my dad were up at a game during the 2006 season and we always get there early to watch batting practice and I always try to get autos. Well it was the series they played the yankees at home that year and we sit along the first base line close to the field and robinson cano was taking batting practice. To make a long story short he hit a screaming liner right towards us and my dad wasnt paying attention and it hit him square in the head and he immediately passed out. it was probably the scariest moment of my life, I thought I lost my dad right then and there but he woke back up and was treated by the medical staff there. So he ended up being fine.

About a week or so later my dad received a big package at his work and inside was a letter from Shapiro I'm pretty sure saying that he appreciated our being season ticket holders every year and that he was sorry about the incident at the ballpark and he sent my dad a little "care package". Inside was this bat, tickets behind home plate for a game, terrace club tickets for a game and tickets to a game of our choice. It was pretty cool of him.

Sorry for the long read but thats how I got the bat lol. As far as price idk what to ask its a pretty unique item I think. Throw an offer at me and I will consider it.

Sounds good just let me know sometime today hopefully. If you live somewhere close around the canton/akron area you could always just pick it up instead of having me ship it that way you save a little money that way.

And the ball I told you about:

It's a 1931 'CB' brand ball (part of Wilson - I have a picture of my 1932 Wilson ball for reference - SAME Branding and Lettering on Sweet Panel)

NO COA. This was part of a larger lot I picked up years back. Here is who is on the ball:

    • Clint Brown
    • Bill Hunnefield
    • Joe Vosmik
    • Alex Hooks
    • Glenn Myatt
    • Wes Ferrell
    • Earl Averill (HOF)

Nice Jiminez but not really something I'd be looking for. As far as the ball goes, great piece of history but getting quite faded it seems. Thats how it goes though I guess. What were you looking to get out of it?

    $150 DLVD.

The ball itself is probably worth close to that.

As far as the fading, my flash may have washed out the sigs a little more than they are, but the ball has never been 'shellacked' - hence the fading from time. The ball is 81 years old... ;)
