Hawk fans, need some input on a prospect

To those that are Hawk fans, what can you tell me about Brandon Pirri? I ask because it seems like he might be a trade option for teams that might be looking to sell.

I've liked what I've seen of him. And with the Hawks constantly searching for a 2nd line center, I was hoping he'd get more of a chance at it.

Pirri had a decent stat line for his 2010-11 season with the IceHogs. This season I think he's been even better - nearly a point-per-game player.

Marcus Kruger had a so-so pre-season camp, Pirri had a good one, so Pirri started the season on the Hawks roster. Didn't last long, his defensive play was lacking so Kruger got called-up, Marcus was a better two-way player.

I guess Hawks still don't think Pirri's ready, as instead they make a weak trade to get Brendan Morrison - who almost immediately goes from 2nd line center, to 4th line center, to healthy scratch, to wing, to healthy scratch.

Maybe Brandon will get another chance with the Hawks? Especially if the season continues to go down the crapper. Or, because the season is slipping away, I think the Hawks have a wealth of good prospects, Pirri among them, that could be used as trade bait to try and get a more established player that can help the team now.
