Great designs, but they could at least put a little effort into the mock-ups. The misspelling and a ridiculously old photo of Thomas (probably from '05 or '06)

It's not so much a complaint as an amusing observation. Some of us do have a sense of humour about such things. It's not like I'm contacting Panini berating them for poor spelling. You have a chuckle, you move on...

Then along come the poopers to label you a whiner.

And I have a chuckle at the sight of people making a big deal about the mockups. To you it's an amusing observation, sure, but there's a lot of people that do treat it as a complaint and bust out the pitchforks. I see it in every thread, whether it's listing Ray Bourque as a forward or someone drafted in a magical new round. Things that have zero relevance to the actual live product, yet people (not necessarily yourself) blow a gasket. I have many chuckles about many things in this hobby, and this be one of them.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I may be in the minority, but I think this year's Ultimate is unattractive. Too much going on, and I don't like the colors.

I have much greater appreciation for SPA with their bright and clean design.

Is that gretky ultimate signatures, or what, it's sort of a mismatch it's the only card that doesn't say or have the ultimate logo?

It looks to me like a base card auto'd parallel. If so that's a cool chase to have.

I normally love Ultimate, but I find this set looks dated... the font, the wheat-field-looking backgrounds... just not something I would have expected from a more modern product.

I'm sure set collectors won't back away because of it, but for myself anyway, it would make me shy away from opening a box or picking up singles of one-off cards.

I though if that, but it looks no were close to the Tim Thomas card
It almost looks like it's from a different set like uds2 and tgey accidentally included it in the ultimate preview
