I honestly cannot believe that Im going to say this, but I may actually stop collecting basketball cards, its been my favorite sport since I was a kid, but Panini has nearly killed the hobby for me.
I havent seen a good design from them since 09-10 releases, and the designs that I could almost come to love, come from products that are ridiculously overpriced, the insert should have some kind of "chase" element to it, and thats just not the case anymore, they are far to abundent, and lack any real design quality, that should seperate them from your ordinary base.
Jersey cards are way overproduced, and again, very few memorabilia sets from Panini, have given me that wow, sensation.
Thats something that could easily be fixed w/better designs.
Autographs are almost all on stickers, which is a turnoff, but understandable this day in age.
And dont even get me started on redemptions, what a load of crap these things are, if you absolutely must insert redemptions into a product, then for God-sakes dont put an expiration date on them, I mean how is that even fair????
Needless to say Im completely dissapointed with Panini thus far, and this latest release(hoops), has just pushed me over the ledge, Ive completely lost all respect for Panini, and will no longer buy there crap, unless its heavily discounted.
