Pinnacle BAP auto question
I have the Stephane Richer BAP Pinnacle auto in my Habs PC from, I think, 96-97. Is there any way to distinguish from the regular version and the auto'd version? Other than the auto itself, of course ;) The back doesn't have the typical "congratulations!" we all know and love. Any input is appreciated!

Do you have a scan? It might be an IP/TTM auto. The base card looks like this:

I would assume that the autograph version would have the COA and such on the back on the card.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I'm out and about on my smartphone right now, so no scans. I can tell you though that the card looks identical to your scan, but with an auto done in a thin black sharpie. I have seen autos from other players in this series signed with the same thin black sharpie. A quick ebay search of 96 97 Pinnacle BAP auto will bring up several examples of what I'm talking about. I even asked the seller specifically when I bought it a couple years back and he said it was pack pulled. Either way it only cost me about $2, but it would be nice to know.

The backs of the cards are identical for the auto and regular versions (no Congratulations message). The front of the base card has silver foil and Pinnacle written in either blue text (series 1) or red text (series 2), while for the auto version, the foil is gold and the Pinnacle text is black.
