Need help with set sorting
I am new at set collecting and I was just wondering what the easiest way is to sort your sorts. Like to figure out what you have and what you need on like 300 card sets. I have tried a couple of things, but it just doens't seem to work. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I just do it the old fashioned way. Sort them by number and write down the numbers I need. I start trading when I just need about 50 numbers and have enough trade power.

Old shool :) I sort in piles 1-99 100-199 200-299, then break those down into 10's. While putting them into my box I check off what I have.
I use a 4 or 5 column ledger/analysis page that I wrote the numbers into(Master) & just made copies. It works great because I assigned the columns next to the numbers Base,Chrome,Refractor & shade my haves, which makes the needs easy to see ;) You see..lol
Good Luck

I use a sorting tray and stack them in numerical order, then like others mentioned, I write down the cards I need (I do this on the white decoy filler cards that come in many products) I then place the filler card in the box and check off the cards I get when they come in. I use the 200 or 300 count cardboard boxes for the sets. This method works well for me in my shop as I have numerous sets going at any given time.
P.S. It's nice to see that there are still collectors out there who build sets! Not too many folks around any more that have the patience to.

I also have a black plastic sort tray and would sort them out by tens, then coilate a set from that point.
I'm actually looking for another one if anyone can point me in a direction. I haven't been able to locate one.
