Custom Letter Card
Anyone tired to make one with a real letter/number like Topps Finest or Razor Letterman series? I've seen some nice customs with a printed number or letter but didn't know if anyone tired this.

I have considered this since i actually got a bunch of game used nameplates last year but i dont think i would be able to pull it off

Wow such an amazing card! That looks professional, fantastic work. Could you give me some insight on the process? And do you do a card for people who send you practice jerseys? Cause I'd be more than glad to send one your way

I still need to finish the design and come up with a back, but am confident I can get these assembled.
They've been on the backburner for a couple years but I am bound and determined to get them done in 2012.

Wow that's fantastic work, I'm trying to do a booklet as well but just two letters. What size letters did you use?

They are junior sized letters.
A local sports store that does lettering did it. They had Canucks, Oilers and Flames letters. It wasn't too expensive to get the name bar so I thought I'd give it a shot. I asked that they space the letters out quite a bit so I would have lots of space for cutting. I wasn't sure if the letters would fit into the diecut, but was plesantly surprised when I roughed together the card.
It might take a while to assemble, but I think it is doable.

When I put the patch in I have to basically create a box to hold the patch. The right side of you cards looks very thin, how are you going to build up the box holding in the patch? Thats the only thing holding me back from making a name plate card

That's the only area where I'm a little concerned. I recently did a Toronto Maple Leafs ticket stub card and there wasn't too much area around the edging. Rather than try and force it, I will probably just slide the spot for the letter to go to the left a little.
In the past, I have built my 'box' by cutting out the middles of decoys. I'm assuming you do the same?
