I pulled this a couple years ago. I have other collector friends that say that they have seen so many of these cards, but not many that have the GU swatch in the top right corner... Anyways I am looking to trade it away to a Crosby fan. I collect Rc's, would like to get something good for this card, like a superstar rc, or a bunch of no name rc's i need to fill some sets. All my wants are in my inventory.

I'm pretty sure it was out of a GEM of the game box. That year the chase card was a Gretzky Rc. Beckett makes them. You can order your own as well. Where they will put in a gu piece with a card for you. They supply the gu piece.

Thats neat then, I never knew where they came from but thats pretty cool. Is it actualy Beckett.com? As I know the company that makes those boxes are called Beckett but apparently are not the same Beckett company.

Well it is beckett like the online guide or book that does these graded cards. You can send in a card, or pick a card from them, lets say Patrick Roy, then choose from their inventory of certified GU of Roy to add to the slab. You can choose from stick, or jersey, or prime jersey. Depending on what they have brought in... It is kinda cool really... The cost is quite high i did notice , when i looked into these a couple years back.
