What boxes to buy for $500?

Got extra unexpected money today, and it's just been my birthday, but I'm puzzled what to order. It has not been a good hobby season so far. Crown royale isn't really my taste and way too gambling, Limited is horrible this year, Certified is a gamble too. I'm upset what Upper Deck is doing, Spx and SPGU belongs to the midwinter breaks and I've been looking forward to them. Is UD as company in trouble, with only BD as release in... 3 months?

Another Dominion, as I love Dom and got luck with the breaks. What else?

Depends if you want quantity or quality. If you want to spend $500 on just 1-3 boxes go after The Cup and/or Dominion. If you want more quantity with decent hits, Heroes and Prospects have been great to everyone recently and UD Series 2 comes out in a week.

Well you're very lucky rydlar, my 3 Cup tins this year were horrible, and one of them had a gold base + decoy but no big hit, I was robbed just like the other guy here recently. Just count yourself lucky. Perhaps another year of the Cup than this year... I'm gonna check prices on that.

I was about to take H&P but then I saw the design, incredibly boring, ITG really really needs to do something and upgrade their designs.

What about the ITgGUltimate, that's a class act brand, never have done a whole box. Is there's something especially poor woth the 08/09 version? I don't understand why that is cheaper than all other years.

Now from my inside source .. Panini aka Junkini is the only company in true trouble. Disney bought out marvel comics a few years ago and Panini is the distributor of all comics out in Europe . ( The only big one there unlike here where we have diamond and 2 others.) Disney wants to self distribute their own comics ( which are all Marvel titles). This will effect panini greatly once they lose they rights at the end of next year. UDderdeck is here to stay .

UD has a plan and that is to further sink the junk ship. They release all their products back to back with out any interference just look at the product release dates. The release are late becuz they want to release more complete auto sets with little to no redemption's.. ( the big names are always redemptions get use to it..? )

With $500, I would probably bust 3 or 4 10-11 ITG BTP, throw in a few Artifacts...get some nice GU and Autos for my money...and hope for a biggy hit. Plenty to crack...not just 1 or 2 boxes. For that money, would want quantity and something to work with.

I dunno... if you like vintage... you can't go wrong with ITG Ultimate.

Of course I am bias in my answer.... cuz for me its the #1 product out there.
