not to me personally if i make a trade for like 10 cards though i ask the other to post as they know which ones they are sending exactly.

To me if Im buying I would expect them to start the transaction. If Im selling or I initiate any interest in something Im looking forward to trade, I will also post the transaction. I dont mind the scotch tape as I just reuse/recycle the toploaders and send those out for trade.

A lot of times I'm on my iPhone as opposed to my laptop so when a trade needs to be posted it is a major pain in the rear end. I just switched over to painter's tape or team bags depending on the number of cards in the trade, and often recycled top loaders I got in the mail.

Any way a card can get to me safely I really won't complain about a 2 cent toploader being ruined by tape. As for the posting of the trade I don't fret about that either. All I care is that if I am paying the transaction is mutually agreed before the money changes accounts.

Masking tape (or blue painter's tape which some use) is more expensive than clear tape. Certain kinds of clear tape (the shiny stuff, not the "invisible" stuff) are eaiser to remove and leave less residue

I HATE scotch or packaging tape on top loaders!!! I have a box full of over a thousand that I use when making a trade.....but if we could make it a mandatory part of the trading shippin rules to use, masking, painters, electrical tape and team bags I would gladly throw all of my ugly tape filled top loaders away! I only use masking tape and team bags myself, haha as far as posting the trade I ask others to a lot only cuz im on my cell phone a lot responding to pms at work...

I don't need to write my own reply becuase this coveres exactly what I would have said :)

As far as the scotch tape goes, I don't mind it, I have plenty of new toploaders, I just take the card out of the grungy one and replce it with a new one. Then I use the grungy one when I ship my next trade.

I'm trading for the card, not the case.
