$5.5M for five years is pretty steep for his current offensive totals. I swear these player agents find ways to convince GMs to fork the money. I'd say he's about 4.5M normally. If he has a couple bad seasons, I'm certain even Leaf fans are going to call for Burke's head sooner than later.

I just like the fact the Seguin has pwned the Leafs this season. In five games, 6G 3A. If Dougie Hamilton and/or Jared Knight ever pan out as a top player for the Bruins as well, Kessel will always be living in a shadow..

I don't understand paying Grabo more than Kessel. They really had to go that high? Apparently they did because Hemsky got $5 million a year for doing less than Grabo. Tuomo Ruutu got a lot of money. Just look at the asinine prices the Leafs paid for Connolly, the Habs paid for Cole, the Caps paid for Ward, the Rangers paid for Richards etc and etc with the Free Agent Frenzy. Some really insane contracts driving up the value of players whose performance isn't worth what they are able to get paid. I like Grabo but he is too inconsistent. Also that is top line centre money so play him with Kessel and Lupul. Then have Bozak with Mac and Kulemin. The Leafs need to bring some players in during the off season to improve the team. A true #1 goalie and a real top 6 forward (not Connolly or Lombardi or Armstrong).
