biggest waste of $10,000,000.00
actually they are a combined $11,500.00.00 cap hit
Shawn Horcoff & Ales Hemsky.
Now I shouldnt have to say much more, but 59 pts combined. woopie. leadership of horcoff questinable at best , heart and balls completely missing in Hemsky.
the only worse contracts ever were given by the NY Islanders ....pick one

They'll both be gone in a few years and you can run the league with Eberle, Hall, Nuge, Paajarvi, Omark, Gagner, etc, etc, etc.
Patience, friend, patience.

I think they may lose an important piece of the future because nobody in their right mind would pay for either of them and the young players that matter wont be signed because of lack of cap space. horcoff is signed thru 14-15. hemsky is sooner i think he might be a ufa after this season ??

Hemsky has had enough time to show any potential, he's a reborn Samsonov, lots of dipsy doodling and not much else. Horcoff should be in the beer leagues.

Hemsky just signed for another 3 years didn't he? That would put him around the same time as Horcoff. Incidentally, that's when a lot of the young guys' contracts come up for renewal...interesting...
