Question from a noob...
Hi! I'm kinda new to sportscards and I have a question that might be stupid to some of you but I'll ask it anyway. :)
I own a hockey card, a 1997-98 Forsberg Donruss Elite Prime Numbers #1A. I know that the card has been handed to Forsberg himself by the card company. We share a friend who has been given a lot of cards from Forsberg during the years and he gave it to me.
As I understand it the players have, or had, to approve the cards before they hit the market (correct me if I'm wrong) and it's one of those "approval" cards I've got. The card isn't numbered like all the "normal" cards, because it's just saying XXX where the number should be.
So basically I'm wondering if there is a special category for this sort of cards? Are cards like these worth more than the "basic" cards?
I have some other cards too, cards that Forsberg has had, and some of them are cut in the corner. Why is that?

It's a sample card. Probably worth less than the actual card that was packed out.
