    Smile WTTF Bombo Rivera

    Anyone ever heard of this player?
    I'm looking for one of his cards for a soldier in Iraq. He always carried this guy around with himas a kid..a Big morale booster

    Love that name! Bombo was mentioned in Kinsella's great book "The Iowa Baseball Confederacy", one of my favorites. Couldn't let this thread slide to the bottom.

    I have no Bombo's but there are plenty of sellers on ebay where you can pick up one of his ~25-30 year old card issues for a buck or two. Here's one from a guy with 100% positive feedback.
