Is anybody else getting frustrated with the lack of Hockey card products released this year that are not low-end?
Where is the SPx?
Where is the Contenders?
Where is the SP Game Used?
Is Panini doing Luxury Suite?
I need some good products!!!

They've all been delayed due to the desire to have as minimal a number of redemption cards as possible. For all the latest release dates please refer to the sticky thread in this forum.

Perhaps this should learn people to not complain too much, rather have redemptions and a box to buy than none at all. But even better, jut decrease the ridicoulous high amount of autos etc so we don't have to wait like this, and we don't get redemptions

I do understand it takes time if they're gonna continue with the big amount of autos. Players are only made of human flesh, they're not autobots. So the companies really have to start cutting down, most autos/ auto gameused are considered fillers by most anyway. Like a good restaurant they should cut down, re-do, make it simplier, tastier, more style. Quality before quantity.

I think Panini is doing well or at least better than UD in releasing products on time this year. UD is delaying their releases too much. We're already at the end of the 11-12 season, and there are still many products to be released, especially SPx, SPA, SPGU, Ultimate, The Cup.
Panini has already released many sets that are a higher level than UD's Upper Deck original brand. Besides UD Ice that are from Black Diamond's boxes, Panini has Crown Royale, Limited and Certified already released, where people already spent a lot of money on them. There are only 6 months left before the 12-13 season for UD to release their remaining products, which makes about 1 product per month, knowing that people have a certain budget and are more likely to not spend too much on 2 different products released almost at the same time.

Many people here are right about the fact that they're don't need to release like 234535 parallel signatures in the same brand.

I hope UD learns from their mistake this year about delaying their products.

As for my level of dissapointment over the sets named in the OP..... I've never bought anything more than singles from any of them. If I do that next week, or sometime in October - not going to make a difference to me. I think most of the "mid-end" sets (the $120-$160 boxes) are a tad on the overrated side.

Funny that back in 2003-04 all products were released on time and no redemptions. It's only been since 2005-06 that these issues have arisen.

ITG manages to release their products with limited delays (if any) and no redemptions at all. But then we complain about sticker autos! UD/Panini/ITG can never win!
