Why do I never get returns?

This spring training, I probably sent out about 25 letters to players and I've only gotten 2 back (Nyjer Morgan and John Axford). The thing is though, I'm sending to guys that everyone else is getting returns from like Dustin Ackley, Heath Bell, Vance Worley, and Paul Goldschmidt. Why is that I'm not getting any of these back? Most people are getting Ackley back within a week and I sent to him probably about 2 and a half weeks ago. Is there still a chance I could get them back soon?

There is very much a chance, remember that this game is all about patience. I've gotten cards back that take about 5-6 months and you forget all about them. I sent to unknowns and some known people this ST, and haven't got a single card back. Some guys already, Ill just send and wait though. Plus i may get like 10 back when i get back from spring break. My college box may be filled up.

Point being, don't lose faith and be patient, you never know! Good Luck to you man.

Alright thanks. I'm probably just really anxious because my brother gets one just about wettest and I barley ever get one.. I know I also didn't send a few if mine c/o cause idisnt know I was supposed too.. Hopefully I still get them back though..

Are you sending to the same people as your brother? Maybe they are seeing the same last name and address one right after the other are thinking someone is sending to them twice and only responding to one of them.

I think jyosi's thing may be part of it, I always try to stagger my own requests even from the same team to differnet players.

Like I can just picture mail call and 3 different players on the Cincinatti reds get identical letters from identical people- they might be less likely to believe how big a fan I am.

Things like this matter, but the short version is- there's a ton of luck involved. I sent out about 50 last year and got like 10-15 back, and I missed people that are generally automatic, and I missed all the "reach" signers like McGwire, Vlad, etc, even though I sent to each of them 2-3 times.

There's no rhyme or reason to it, but it is frustrating. I'm off to a similar slow start this spring, I'm like 2/30 or something similar.

Not really. I'm pretty sure he also sent to Ackley, but if he did, it was way before me. He hasn't gotten that one back though. There were also two players that I asked if they would sign for me on twitter and they both said they would. Haven't gotten either of those back yet and I sent those before spring training even started!

tell me about, i've sent close to 40 and have only gotten 4 back...bell, worley, leake, and neshek...all automatic too...most of them have been out a month or longer too. what really gets me as that i did a LOT of research and all except maybe 5 guys were really consistentt last year..IDK...just have to wait it out I guess
