    Advice please? Car/wheel question...

EDIT: HERE ARE THE RIMS I DECIDED ON. THEY ARE 17'S AND COMING WITH LOW PROFILE TIRES:

Ok, i'll be the first to admit I don't know a whole lot about vehicles.

My previous car was a 2006 Scion XB *white* I had Black rims put on it, sweet system and tinted windows.

I now drive a 2011 Scion XB *black*.
Here is the question.. I am going to order a wheel / tire package from a site... Black rims.

Do I go with 17's or 18's?? I'm not sure what would look better...
Hopefully someone here can help me out as i'm very ready to start making this boring scion xb look MUCH better. these stock hub caps have got to go!!
Vehicle guys, please help me out here!

    Thanks in advance!

Personally I would go with 18's because they will fill the wheel well a little better. Either way it will look better than stock. The only real question is finances. The 18's will run you a tad bit more than the 17's and you also will probably want a lower profile tire with the 18's which is also going to be more expensive.

I would look at cost versus appearance and go from there. Have you gone to the wheel visualizer app on the Discounted Wheel Warehouse site yet? It is pretty cool to get an idea of what the rims would look like and helps you decide what tire height you can use.

EDIT: And we need pics after you have the rims on it too

You can always go to tirerack.com and look at what the wheels will look like on your car. If cost isn't an option, go with the 18's as like mentioned above, it will cover more of your wheel well.

I would go with the 17". The 18" will fit but take it from me, the larger the rim, the harder the ride. I have 22" on my silverado and there are some days when I wish I had 20" with all terrain tires instead of 22" with low profiles. The 18" could rub on the inner wheel wells if your tires are too large (like mine do when I turn all the way in one direction at 15+ mph). It's your choice but I would go with 17" and regular tires. Check out this website too sometime:

When I put 18s on my 2010 I had no problem with rubbing so you'd be good there if you do choose 18s. The ride was a little rougher going down bumpy roads but wasn't horrible definitely manageable.

Just throwing this out there, there are several I mean several forums dedicated to Scions you should check some of them out.

They won't rub. 18s are the way to go.
