Ebay - can people read?
Seriously wondering if buyers on ebay enjoy making sellers angry lol. I recently placed some kids wrestling belts on there and decided to use one picture to show all of the belts, then use the same pic for each auction.
After one auction ended, a buyer messaged me saying that he would like to cancel the transaction because he thought it was for all of the belts and not just one of them. Here's the original auction:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/330686011067...84.m1562.l2649
pretty clear that it's for one belt in the title and description IMO, but still gave the refund.
here's another that sold about a week later, where i even specifically put where the belt was in the picture:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/330689402544...84.m1562.l2649
fast forward to today where i get a neutral feedback for this item, saying "Thank You! photo deceiving but my fault for not reading description."
really couldn't wrap my head around this one....why pay $50+ and not even read the description of the item you're buying? and now i have a neutral feedback because the buyer didn't feel like reading.....i don't see myself lasting too long with selling on ebay lol. should i be angry about this or am i somewhat at fault here?

That's incredibly lame that you get a neutral out of the guy. He got exactly what was described in a timely fashion. IMO that's a positive 100% of the time. Can you contest that with eBay?
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Yes thats lame on the buyers part but according to ebay whatever the buyer feels is all that matters. Get used to it if you are going to keep selling on ebay. Odds are he also dinged you on your detailed seller ratings by rating them low.

That is lame to recieve neutral feedback, but then again to avoid it, how long does it really take to snap a few more pictures?

When I sell cards on eBay..... it often depends on what cards they are...... but I will use 'gang scans' some of the time (i.e. scan 9 cards, but the single pic is for 9 different acutions).
When I do this - I always start the auction description with something like:
"PLEASE NOTE: YOU ARE BIDDING ONLY ON THE SINGLE CARD IN THE TITLE, ALL OTHER CARDS PICTURED ARE AVAILABLE IN MY OTHER AUCTIONS"
It still means that people have to read - but it's yet another way of helping them do that :)
For what it's worth - I think your auctions are pretty clear.

You clientele is all white trash, I'm surprised that they own, and can operate computers.
Whenever I have had trouble on eBay in other categories, I have to Socially look at who is buying my goods. Lol. Try selling an auto part, or tools, or something Rednecks need. You will get constantly get neutrals for doing good or they simply won't pay.

LOL!
But I always crop my pictures to show only whats for sale for this exact reason. It's like when you post up a for sale thread and put in big bold letters that everything is for sale ONLY and then you promptly get 4 PMs asking if you will trade
People seriously can't/don't read.

People on ebay are annoying and don't think. I sent a card in a penny sleeve, taped between two top loaders because I was out of the 180pt top loaders. The card was secure, and protected better than it would be in a 180pt, but the neutral I got says poor shipping, taped between two top loaders.
Had I waited and bought the proper size the buyer would have dinged me for taking too long to ship. Some peoples kids, let me tell ya.
Your auctions were clear, and if the buyer knew anything about what they were buying they would know you likely couldnt get 8 belts for that price.
