    It does bother me sometimes when people don't read... For example, I have even posted scans of cards from the set I need in my post, and I still get the occasional offer of a completely different set.

    But at the same time, it bothers me a bit when people post that they won't check buckets. Why does the other trader have to do all the work? Seems kind of lazy. Especially because a lot of these people don't even post what they're looking for. "I'm trading a Tyler Seguin YG. Not checking buckets.". Am I supposed to read your mind? Or am I supposed to look around, find a card I deem comparable, and make an offer only to have you say you're not interested?

    I think there's been a pretty large decline in trading etiquette.

    Thing is though, I would put what I'm looking for and would still get the CMB routine.

    etiquette is out the window.i have been guilty of all of the above mentioned offenses and have experienced the same.bottom line is you have to expect the worse and hope for the best.you will never be disappointed.

    In reply to the original post, I'd suggest:

    1) post what you're offering and specify what you're looking for;
    2) indicate "not checking buckets and will not respond to anyone asking to do so" (or similar words), if that's what you'd like to do;
    3) respond, or not, to anyone who ignores your post and asks you to check their bucket or offers you cards you're not looking for, etc. They've chosen to ignore what you've asked; they shouldn't be surprised if you ignore them;
    4) hope your posting attracts a collector who meets your needs and wants what you've got, so you have a chance of making a fair deal for both sides.

    You get all sorts of people on the Board, as with anywhere; some better to deal with than others...some who only think of themselves and have the attitude "I'll throw something in their face for the heck of it and see if it works, because I know they'll be pleased to deal with me and find me reasonable" (the key words being "I" and "me"). Unfortunately, some people don't think enough about the other side to a potential trade or deal, nor understand that a successful deal needs two people being satisfied for it to work.

    Don't give up...but do develop a thick skin and choose who you respond to and deal with and don't be shy about ignoring those who don't read your post or appear rude. You'll eventually find the right deal but it won't be with every thread that you post.

    I think the problem is not that they can't read. In fact, everyone here can read. It's more like they "don't read" the whole topic, so they don't see that you stated that you don't check buckets or list. Some people are probably used to have people check their buckets or list, so they'll automatically assume that you'll do the same. Or maybe they saw it, but still want to try, thinking that they have something interresting that you'll want.

    Now check my bucket ;)
    Just kidding :)

    See skatesave's Items on eBay

    People that don't have text showing who the player is by name in the mini-micro photo, should be suspended from SCF. I can barely make out the crest on the Jersey on some of them.
