CnC
I was recently banned on another site for a day for some of the things I said about the boys at CnC, but all I did was air out the truth of how they used to run their business practices. Perhaps I went a little bit overboard and clearly they have changed their ways, but why the incredible love in for what they do?
I am a seeker of the truth and I know there are people that have had bad experiences with them b/c I have never even joined a group break with them or bought anything from them and as a matter of fact I even stopped trading on their site a couple of years ago b/c of what I think of them and how they dealt with me and others in the past.
Hobby wise they might contribute something substantial, but as people they fall extremely short from what I have experienced and if you were to compare them to any other group break show on Blog TV, you can see the types of people they really are. I was not going to air this thread out, but I just find it sickening they continue to act like everything they are doing is all lovey dovey when clearly they are not, so let's get the truth out there.
Again, this is not a hate thread since I learned my lesson on the other site, but just a platform to get a clearer indication of what kind of people are running CnC so please share your good and bad experiences. Thanks.

Self proclaimed "seekers of truth" are rarely so. You even say that they changed their ways from what they used to be, but want to focus on their past.
Despite your biased phrasing, I won't archive this thread immediately. You've asked for good and bad experiences CnC. I suggest you let the people of this forum post theirs without comment.
If this turns into a bashing thread or a flame war or a witch hunt against CnC, it will be archived and the offending parties will be dealt with.
Cheers,
reoddai

Talk about taking all the fun out of a thread.... man habs fans are touchy this season
As for CNC I'll keep it short, I did one GB years ago, had 4-5 cards in the break never got them in the mail. I mentioned it to them, they said to be patient with international mail (like I have never done this before, and a month wasn't patient?) still nothing 7 weeks later, let them know again.... nothing said or done on thier part.
That's the short version, and the reason it was only one GB. A shame really, I usually do 1-2 gb's per week.

reoddai that was exactly my intention for users here to simply post their experiences with them and nothing more, but chances are no one has to the guts to do so if they are negative.
I don't want to focus on their past and their practices are still taking place today from what people have told me. This thread was entirely made to make hockey collectors aware of who they CAN be and not entirely who they are.Last edited by chakhae1; 03-18-2012 at 08:23 AM.

Thanks for the post. I also had an experience a couple of years ago that turned me away from CnC once and for all. Your post is odd since in the thread from other site they mentioned this:
"Slow on shipping, Again, we can not control the mailing system, since you frequent our blog you would know that we do a FULL REFUND if the package is stamped 3 business days after the break happened so you can claim we have slow shipping but funny how we have not ever refunded anyone on that as of yet"
lol. That is quoted from Geoff. Interesting. Granted like I said they have cleaned up their act recently but this post is a clear indication that they weren't always so rosy.

I bought in on a group break a few years ago. The randomizer worked in my favor as I received the Sabres (WooHoo!). I received my card (only 1 hit but a nice one!) and I received some Pens cards. I wanted to do the right thing and contact the person who had the Penguins, but the break had not been posted online. (I had watched it live.) I wanted to review the break to see if the cards I received were actually pulled in the break or if they just threw them in as extra hits. No response from CnC as I recall. Oh well. (video never made it online).

I've done a few breaks with these guys and always that they were very pleasant and easy to deal with. Other then the fact it may take a few days sometimes for them to get the cards in the mail I've never had a problem.

are you sure the video never made it to Youtube? They post every break on their Youtube page.
